This Sunday was Biology Fair at Oklahoma Academy. Six students from the Biology class participated in it. Each one gave a two minute speech as well as answering questions at their booths.

It has been a while since we posted a new blog. So here are a few things that we have been doing this school year.

As always, we have had many music programs. The theme has been, "For such a time as this."

We started selling the Study Bibles again. One with large text and the other with the Adventist Hymnal.

We have started a Massage program for the students. It will give them a wonderful skill when to use as a marvelous blessing to others.

Our flight program has started with two students. We thank Keith Mackey for his willingness to make this program a reality.

We had a surprise exhibit of Messiah's Mansion on our campus. It was such a blessing and many people from the community and surrounding areas came.

While the sanctuary was set up we took some HD video of some of the ceremonies.

A great blessing that the Lord has given us is the Spanish Study Bible with EGW comments and the Spanish Hymnal.

It has been the answer to many prayers.

We would like to praise the Lord for how He has led us. "Who is so great a god as our God?" Ps. 77:13

The fruit is here and about half of it is gone! We have peaches, apricots, cherries, and nectarines.

The truck was full Wednesday morning with 491 boxes of fruit. Now look how much is gone! Praise the Lord!

Tony Hall and David Preisner took off last night at 9:16 for WA to pick up a load of fruit. They have had an "uneventful" trip so far.

Driving throughout the night is making it possible to have the fruit at OA by this coming Thursday.

They are getting peaches, cherries, and apricots. They are all ripe from the orchard and are very tasty.

Please contact the school to get yours researved. This kind of fruit will be gone in a matter of days.

Because of the weather and the wetness, our clothes were not our stereotypical selves.

Sunday the girls went out to Lihue (Li-hoo-ee) to pass out flyers about Messiah's Mansion.

Jennifer was our laundry lady and on Sunday when she did it, it took almost 8 hrs to finish!

This is a small mountain stream behind the sanctuary which can really enlarge when we get a large downpour. The Mt Kahili can develope several nice waterfalls when it rains hard and if it really rains, the road out can become impassible!

Uncle Tiese (Tee-say). He is Samoan and has been a great help and very enjoyable.

"Uncle Mike" is on the right. In Hawaii, older people are called either "Uncle" or "Auntie" Here Kwang Hoo and Uncle Mike are having prayer before a tour.

Because of the rain, our tours have been small, but the contacts made have been good.

Yes, it is muddy and wet here. I personally have not worn normal shoes and socks since I got here. The mud doesn't come off your feet easily either!

The first display of the new sanctuary, it had its challenges. It has coverings that the grommets didn't match, or that were the wrong size, as well as missing a few feet of gold bar. Nothing unrecoverable though, and we just had to adapt.

Soggy ground made getting the forklift in very challenging. We fulfilled Mr. Leinneweber's standard saying about putting in only "1/2 days" (12 hours).

One of the critical things is to make sure that the sanctuary structure is square, if not, nothing else will work later.

The senior class took off for Hawaii on Tuesday, the 14th. Some of them had just barely returned from the sanctuary trip to Grants Pass, Organ.

Of course everyone was saying "good bye" and giving last minute instruction and counsel.

Week Of Prayer

Friday night for vespers was an Agape Feast, a perfect time to fellowship with friends and family. We see Dr. Tim (center) with (from left) Mr. Charles Bauder, Jamie, Daniel Pisar, Enoch, and Stephanie all enjoying a meal together.

During special music we were blessed by Ana, Laura, Alex, and Robbie's musical talent as they sung "Walk Worthy Of The Lord."

Dr. Tim Riesenberger, our guest speaker for week of prayer, gave us many blessed messages.

The Chorale also blessed us with their musical skills.

There was a tremendous revival Sabbath afternoon, all the men in the dorm except for one came up for baptism or re-baptism during the testimonials given by many.

Sabbath night was a meeting in the music building with Dr. Tim followed by a bonfire outside.

October 1 - 5, during fall break, some of the OA staff and students went to Guthry for a canvasing program. We would like to thank the Guthry SDA church for hosting our operation.

We tried to get the whole team in this picture but some were not able to get in it. Pictured from the back row to the front row and left to right: Peace, Zac, Eric, Mr. Preisner, Enoch, Stephani, Eliana, Katie, Mrs. Hale, Alfonso, Paulo, Gianluis, Heather, Ariana, Ms. Johns, Daniel, and Jae Young.

One of the most important aspects to the canvasing work is prayer and trust in God. Alfonso and Stephani are praying together before they begin a street asking that God would bless and send His Spirit.

Some of the students were not use to canvasing so they trained with those who were. Alfonso is helping Paulo learn to canvas and Paulo is helping Alfonso with his bag.

Eric is a "seasoned" canvasser. He canvased this summer which is where he got his nifty canvasing ID tag.

Alumni weekend was a wonderful success thanks to all those who put so much effort into the programing and those who came to participate. It is wonderful to see how the Lord is leading in the lives of those who were here before. A special thanks to all the alumni officers who worked so hard to organize everything.

The Junior Class started on their journey on the way to Virginia on August 28th.
Right before crossing into Arkansas, the door of the blue van broke, so some of the guys got the door back on, and went on with their trip.

The first night they stopped just outside of Nashville, TN to spend the night.
Then leaving the next morning finished their journey to Rural Retreat, VA.

On the first night they started out with inspirational worships with Mr. Leinneweber.

Sabbath morning the juniors went to the Wytheville, SDA Church.

Sunday, the juniors started setting up the sanctuary.

Many volunteers were there to help, and it took all day Sunday, and half of the day on Monday to finish setting it up.

Katie, Laura, Stephanie, Ms. Rita, and Heather all happy about finishing sanctuary set-up.

On Tuesday they opened up the sanctuary.

Time was set aside to do homework and also study tours. Here is Laura studying for her tour.

Also time to practice tours was given. Here is Alfonso practicing his tour in the Holy Place.

On Wednesday, tours were started, and continued for the next week and a half. Jocelyn is in the courtyard here with the volunteer.

Camp-meeting was held the second weekend there.

The last Sabbath there, church was held on site in the overview tent. Chaplin Cox told his testimony with amazing stories such as going to help with the clean-up at Ground Zero in New York in 2001.

The trip was altogether a wonderful blessing, with over 3,400 people coming through the Sanctuary. Praise God!

Thursday, Friday, and Sabbath Shanniel Fisher presented wonderful messages. His theme was "For Such A Time As This". He encouraged the students to recognize that they can make a huge difference in God's work.

Special music was done by The Senior Octet this past Sabbath.

This year the boys dorm received a generous donation for much needed renovations. We are now able to put paint on the walls, fix up the bathrooms and make the dorm more like home for the Men who live in here.

Also the bathrooms are currently being renovated.

The sinks in one of the bathrooms are finished and we are working on the rest.

We would like to update you on some of the progress on our campus. We now have new flooring in the cafeteria and paint on the walls. The old rectangular tables have been replaced by new round ones.
Some of the new housing is almost ready to move into.

Mr. Gonyea has put the final touches on the plumbing. He has worked VERY hard on trying to get this finished.

Recent rains have made our campus really green and now it demands a LOT of attention.

We are so thankful for our hard working cafeteria staff like Mrs. Cisneros and for the wonderful food they have been making.

A new floor is going into the cafeteria. Mr Bauder and Mr Weeks along with some other help have stripped the old glue and paint off the dining hall floor.

Another one of our new houses has arrived. We are so thankful for all those who contributed to make this possible. Our old staff housing is having serious trouble, especially the mobile homes. These new prefabricated homes are much better and should last for many years.

Electricity is back on now, but it cost $21,000 to repair all the damages from the lightning storm. Please pray that the insurance money comes through quickly.

Mr Radnoti is still trying to make some of the trees in front of the guys dorm look good after they were nearly destroyed by the ice storm.

We are still working hard getting our newest staff house finished. There is still painting, flooring, and electrical still to do.

We just wanted to update ya'll on the damage from Thursday night's storm. The two largest transformers on campus took direct lightning strikes and were completely destroyed. The entire MU complex and the Colonial building are currently without power. The OG&E people came out and told us that it was the worst damaged transformers they had ever seen.

Today 4 OG&E trucks came out to work on MU complex and 4 more trucks were working at the Colonial Cottage. We will need a separate electrician to come out after they are done. The earliest they can do that is Monday. So until then there are some people in the dark and some without water.

Praise the Lord for His protection last night while a furious storm blew through. Though we did get some much needed rain, part of our campus is without electricity and water. The big freezers in the Country Store are beginning to thaw, so we hope it gets fixed soon.

We are also blessed in that the wind has significantly settled down. It had been blowing really strong for the past 5 days, but this morning there was quite the calm after the storm. Even the little birds seemed to be more cheerful.

We were blessed not to have tornado activity like we did a month ago. The video shows some of the distressed cloud formations from that storm.

Summer Heat

Summer has certainly arrived. The temperatures are staying in the 90's now.

Many of OA's students are canvasing for the summer. This is really awesome. Not only do they get the opportunity to witness all summer, but they also get a scholarship here at school for it.

Another ministry that some of our students are participating in is Messiah's Mansion.
